I did a little Wardriving yesterday of Countryside Townhouses in North Brunswick, NJ. That is a lot of wireless going on in such a small area. The 5 dBi omni antenna really worked well. I was getting some strong signals. You can check it out on my maps page. I just wish that I had GPS. :)

Here is a better picture of my laptop: Laptop

My hopes of doing a little WarDriving was ended because of the weather. It was raining in NYC, but when I went to start my car at around 10:30 AM, I found it covered in ice. The weather went from: rain - sleet - hail - snow. What a sucky day! We really need spring to get here very soon!

Well.. I got some images of my setup online. I will soon have some images online of my car setup once the weather clears up. I am hoping to get a GPS soon so that I can do some maps of this area. I have looked online and have not seen much mapping done of Central New Jersey. I was going to buy a USB, non display GPS. I am now thinking of buying a Magellan Meridian GPS. For the price you can not beat the value. A GPS with a display would come in handy for camping.

I hope to get a DIY antenna done very soon. I was thinking of constructing this antenna. It looks very simple to make and the gain reported looks good. I will post my results when its done. :)

Welcome to WiFi Uncloaked. This web site was just started today, so please bear with me!

I have just started getting into WiFi and have found it to be a lot of fun. I have had my wireless network setup for a few weeks now, and I just received my omni antenna. Wow does this external antenna make a difference. I did a 3 mile sweep around my house and the results were just amazing. I will log a bunch of the Access Points in the area and put them up for your viewing pleasure.

Keep checking back for the latest updates/adventures.
